About

Nice to meet you! We are a busy family of seven (plus 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 hermit crabs), living in a smaller community in the middle of the country (as in the US ~ I wish we could live in the country!) Due to DrH's career, we must stay close to civilization. My husband and I both grew up in the area, me lucky enough to spend my childhood in a country/farm setting and he on the golf course and lake.

Our children attend public school, currently in 8th grade, 6th grade, 1st grade, and Pre-Kindergarten. Our baby just enjoys being a baby :)

We belong to a great church that boasts wonderful children's and youth ministries. I enjoy doing group women's bible studies. Hopefully we will be able to get involved with some missions work/trips someday.

The meaning behind my blog title? My lovely maternal grandmother, born and raised and lived most of her life in South Dakota, would oftentimes say "my stars!" during conversation. It was something I thought was so funny as a child and now it reminds me of her so much.

My intention is to document some of the things that interest me the most, which would be homekeeping (my mom is laughing at that!), building/decorating our new home, parenting/relationships, education, and living in the medical world.

I hope to connect with others and possibly make new friends. Having a successful blog is nice, but forming new relationships with other people who share the same passions is the best!
